Sagapixel

Senior SEO Specialist

Job Description

Senior SEO Specialist Location:
Cherry Hill, NJ (Hybrid / In-Office)
Type:
Full-Time Salary:
$70,000 - $85,000 Sagapixel is a healthcare-focused digital marketing agency working with medical practices and healthcare brands across the U.S. We're looking for a Senior SEO Strategist with agency experience and a proven record of improving client performance. You'll guide SEO strategy across multiple accounts, identify opportunities, and turn those findings into work that gets implemented and measured. You'll have account managers, writers, developers, and SEO associates supporting delivery, and you'll be accountable for the quality of your direction and follow-through. Who This Role Is For You can look at an account, understand its business goals, identify its search opportunities, and decide what deserves attention first. You know when to improve an existing page, strengthen its support, address a technical issue, or pursue a new opportunity. You can explain those decisions clearly and get the right people moving. What You'll Do Own SEO direction for assigned accounts. Work with account managers and leadership to translate quarterly client goals into focused monthly priorities and practical next steps. Diagnose performance problems using rankings, GSC, GA4, crawl data, SERP research, and website reviews. Investigate search intent, authority, internal linking, technical barriers, page structure, conversion paths, and tracking accuracy before choosing a response. Prioritize work by expected impact, effort, and available budget. Explain what should happen, why it matters, and how we'll evaluate the outcome. Avoid defaulting to more content or broad revisions without a clear objective. Direct improvements to priority service and location pages, content strategy, keyword mapping, and internal linking. Stay close enough to the work to give specific guidance, review important deliverables, and handle work that requires senior expertise. Delegate appropriately to SEO associates, junior team members, writers, and developers. Account for different billing rates and skill levels, provide clear instructions and quality expectations, and follow through without routinely taking over work others should handle. Collaborate across departments to move recommendations through implementation. Surface blockers, clarify ownership, and verify that completed work addresses the original problem. Monitor performance throughout the month and track progress toward quarterly goals. Flag meaningful declines early, evaluate the results of completed work, and adjust priorities when the evidence warrants it. Produce concise, accurate SEO analysis and reporting that account managers can use with clients. Explain what changed, what the evidence supports, what remains uncertain, and what happens next. Join monthly client calls to support account managers with strategic context and performance questions. Come prepared to explain account progress and recommendations in plain English. Raise unresolved questions with the director or relevant lead before spending meaningful budget on an uncertain direction. Bring your findings, what you've tried, and where you need input. Share useful learnings with the team. What We're Looking For Agency SEO experience managing multiple client accounts and collaborating with account management, content, and development teams. A proven track record of measurable client results. You should be able to explain the starting problem, your decisions, your contribution, and the outcome. Strong working knowledge of on-page and local SEO, content strategy, internal linking, technical SEO fundamentals, and how page experience affects conversions. Confidence using Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog to make decisions and evaluate performance, including recognizing unreliable tracking or unsupported conclusions. Experience contributing to client reporting or calls, with strong written and verbal English and the ability to explain technical work to nontechnical stakeholders. Experience delegating work and providing actionable feedback. Sound judgment, reliable follow-through, and openness to feedback and learning our approach. Bonus Experience Healthcare SEO or marketing for local service businesses. Leading client strategy conversations or managing client relationships directly. Practical experience improving or measuring visibility in AI search and LLM recommendations, including AEO or GEO. Using generative AI to improve efficiency while validating its output and retaining responsibility for the work. How We Work Our frameworks guide decisions, and we expect you to apply your judgment. We provide regular feedback and expect you to use it. Accurate time tracking as work is completed, clear documentation, and budget awareness are part of the role. You don't need every answer. You do need the expertise to investigate, the judgment to recognize when you need help, and the ownership to keep an account moving toward its goals.
