Job Description

This is a two-sided role. On one side, you're a hands-on content creator — you take a video from idea to script to shoot to editing direction to thumbnail to posting on YouTube to A/B testing thumbnails to spinning it into a blog, then rinse and repeat. On the other side, you own our social presence — you build the strategy, run the calendar, grow the audience, and turn our channels into a place rural America actually wants to hang out. You'll also help develop content for our paid campaigns, including YouTube and other paid ads, so the same storytelling that builds our organic audience also drives conversions. About Rural Power Systems At RPS, we're solar-powered and people-powered! Every pump that leaves our warehouse means one less generator or power line—and cleaner, safer access to water. It supports healthier animals, plants, and people while boosting the resilience, independence, and self-sufficiency of rural families and communities. We're mission-driven, impact-focused, and yes—we're as cool as it sounds. We help folks across the country pump water sustainably, from off-grid ranches to remote homesteads. We're a team of tinkerers, builders, customer champions, and adventurers who take pride in solving real-world problems with clean technology. No corporate fluff, just honest work that matters. You bring creativity, curiosity, and a strong sense of purpose to the table — and you're not afraid to jump in, learn fast, and make things happen. You might be a great fit if you: Have content creation experience — making your own videos for platforms like YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram and are comfortable filming on an iPhone. Bonus points if you have experience with Shopify, WordPress, affiliate/UGC programs, analytics (Google, YouTube), or DTC ecommerce Extra bonus if you have a background in outdoor living, ranching, or agriculture — previous ag-related industry experience is preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree 1-3 years minimum of content creation, social media, and/or marketing experience— more won't disqualify you. We evaluate based on where you are right now: what you can offer ability-wise, and whether you can pick up the parts you're missing quickly. Solid writing portfolio and examples of video or social content (Please share a link on your resume)
