Role Overview The Social Media & Content Assistant will support content execution and creative development across ConsumerDirect's brand channels and executive (CEO) platforms. This role will focus on content ideation, production, editing, and design, contributing to the creation of high-quality, engaging social content.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Ideation & Trend Research Brainstorm content concepts for company social channels and CEO platforms Draft hooks, captions, and post concepts for short-form and static content Stay up to date on social media trends and translate them into brand-relevant ideas Content Production Assist in filming short-form content for CEO and company social channels Video Editing Edit short-form videos for platforms including Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts Cut podcast footage into engaging, social-ready clips Incorporate captions, hooks, and platform-specific formatting Design & Visual Content Creation Create social graphics using Canva Format content for Instagram, LinkedIn, and X (Twitter) Design carousel posts and visual storytelling assets Required Qualifications 1+ years of experience in social media, content creation, digital marketing, communications, or a related field (internships and freelance experience may be considered). Proficiency with short-form video editing tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar software. Experience creating graphics and visual content using Canva or comparable design platforms. Strong understanding of major social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and X (Twitter), along with platform-specific best practices. Excellent written communication skills with the ability to write engaging captions, hooks, and social media copy. Familiarity with current social media trends, viral content formats, and content optimization strategies. Working Conditions & Physical Requirements Primarily office-based with standard business hours Requires prolonged periods at a desk and ability to use computers and office equipment.
