part-time Company Description Kobey's Swap Meet is San Diego's largest outdoor swap meet, drawing more than 1,000 sellers and tens of thousands of shoppers each week. With over a million bargains available on any given weekend, it offers a diverse mix of vendors, products, and unique local finds. Located in San Diego, CA, Kobey's is a well-known local destination for affordable shopping and entertainment, providing a dynamic environment for learning and growth. About the Role We are looking for a driven, responsible, communicative, and organized college student to join our team as a Social Media Marketing Intern this Spring! This is a for-credit internship with a requirement of at least 10 hours per week, taking place from January 21st-May 21st 2027. In this role, you will work with our social team to polish and expand our presence on socials such as TikTok, Instagram, and Youtube, as well as within the community.
What You'll Do Content Creation:
Assist in shooting, editing, and posting engaging TikToks, Reels, and Shorts highlighting our unique vendors, hidden treasures, and lively weekend atmosphere.
Community Engagement:
Interact with our TikTok followers, build out our brand image & voice, and create awareness for upcoming weekend markets and special events.
Trend Spotting:
Stay ahead of social media trends, audios, and platform updates to keep our content fresh and relevant.
Strategy Support:
Brainstorm and execute creative campaigns and target new segments of shoppers alongside our team to drive foot traffic.
Requirements:
Active on Socials (Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts) Experience with photo and video editing apps (CapCut, Canva, Lightroom, Photoshop) Must be available to work on-site at least one day a week (Sat. preferred) Strong writing skills for captions and copywriting Please send your resume, cover letter, and portfolio to social@kobeys.com.
