Job Description

Job Summary This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity for a current student to gain valuable work experience while contributing to Lake Sumter State College's success. The Student Assistant will provide essential support, working closely with faculty and staff to ensure the efficient operation of departmental activities. This is a part-time position with an expected commitment of 20-25 hours per week. The schedule will be flexible to accommodate the student's academic and other responsibilities. Responsible for demonstrating LSSC's Caring, Communicating, Collaborating, and Celebrating values. Students cannot work during scheduled classes. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Set up A/V equipment for classes and meetings as needed. Camera Operator Edit videos Assist with the inventory of equipment. Transfer, deliver, and set up portable A/V equipment to meet the needs of the college. Ensure a clean and safe workspace. Attend all meetings and training sessions as required. Assist the Digital Media department with needs. Maintain a working cell phone for calls on stand by projects. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Strong Organizational and multi tasking skills. Some knowledge of basic video connections. Use of hand and some power tools. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to working dependently and collaboratively in a team environment. Demonstrated commitment to professionalism and confidentiality
