As we continue to grow across our Elk Grove Village, IL and West Allis, WI locations, we're looking for a creative, energetic Social Media & Content Creator to help us build our brand and tell the Excel Restoration story online. The Opportunity We're looking for someone who can take the work we do every day and turn it into engaging content that people actually want to watch. From documenting restoration projects and before-and-after transformations to highlighting our team, sharing educational content, and showcasing the day-to-day life of a restoration company, you'll help bring the Excel Restoration brand to life across social media. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being behind the camera just as much as they enjoy being behind a computer. You should be comfortable coming up with content ideas, filming on location, editing videos, writing captions, and staying on top of social media trends. You'll work closely with our team and leadership to develop a consistent content strategy and create content that increases brand awareness, builds trust with customers and partners, and helps position Excel Restoration as a leader in the restoration industry. What You'll Do Develop and execute a consistent social media content strategy across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube Film high-quality video and photo content at our offices, job sites, and restoration projects Capture before-and-after transformations, project walkthroughs, team spotlights, educational content, customer-focused stories, and behind-the-scenes footage Edit short-form videos and other social media content for online publishing Create engaging Reels, TikToks, Stories, Shorts, and other platform-specific content Write captions, develop hooks, and help create content that encourages engagement Identify trending formats, sounds, topics, and content opportunities that can be adapted to the restoration industry Build and maintain a consistent social media posting schedule Collaborate with leadership and team members to develop new content ideas Help showcase the expertise, professionalism, culture, and personality of Excel Restoration Monitor social media performance and use analytics to identify what content is performing well Help grow our audience, engagement, and overall online presence Maintain an organized library of photos and video footage Travel between our Elk Grove Village, IL and West Allis, WI locations and job sites as needed What We're Looking For Experience creating content for social media, either professionally or through personal projects Strong knowledge of platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube Experience filming and editing video Familiarity with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar A strong understanding of what makes short-form content engaging Creative instincts and the ability to come up with new content ideas Strong communication and storytelling skills Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects Comfortable being around active job sites and working in a hands-on environment Highly organized and able to manage multiple pieces of content at different stages Willingness to get out from behind the desk and capture content in the field A valid driver's license and reliable transportation Bonus Points Experience with photography or videography Experience operating DSLR or mirrorless cameras Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Experience creating TikToks, Reels, or YouTube Shorts Experience managing a business or brand's social media accounts Experience with paid social media advertising Experience with graphic design Experience in construction, restoration, home services, real estate, or another field-based industry A portfolio or examples of content you've created What Success Looks Like In this role, success means making Excel Restoration more visible, recognizable, and engaging online. You'll help us consistently publish content that showcases our projects, educates our audience, highlights our team, and gives potential customers and partners a reason to trust and remember Excel Restoration. We aren't looking for someone who simply checks a box by posting three times a week. We're looking for someone who sees an interesting project, grabs a camera, finds the story, edits the footage, and turns it into something people want to watch. $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
