Job Description
Job Requirements Sweetwater, the nation's number one online retailer of music instruments and pro audio gear, is seeking to add a creative, driven, and enthusiastic Social Media specialist to our growing Marketing team! In this role, you will be responsible for filming, editing, and producing a high volume of short-form videos for our various social media channels (Tik Tok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, YouTube, etc.) and other paid social campaigns. As a Social Media Specialist, you will be key in helping us execute our broader Social Media strategy. In these videos, you will be responsible for demonstrating and discussing music instruments and gear, so a strong understanding and working knowledge of music and music equipment is required.

- Job Responsibilities Plan, film, edit, and publish a high volume of short-form videos with the ability to manage the full production process independently Create platform-native content optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, and paid social campaigns Maintain a consistent, reliable content pipeline to support new Meta requirements and other platform video needs Demonstrate, compare, and explain music gear across all product categories in a clear, accessible way for musicians at every experience level, with primary focus on guitars and recording equipment via a short form video format Monitor and respond to platform trends and social media best practices, turning timely opportunities into educational and entertaining content Operate effectively within a team environment, executing both team-generated concepts and self-initiated ideas Balance a high-volume workload with consistent creative quality, managing competing priorities across two teams simultaneously Qualifications Musician or music gear enthusiast with demonstrated working knowledge of guitars, recording equipment, and the broader music products industry Comfortable on camera; able to confidently explain, demonstrate, and compare products in an engaging and credible manner for musicians of all skill levels Proven track record of high-volume short-form video production from concept through publish, with no dependency on a full production team Strong skills in video production, editing, and strategy Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and assignments at the same time Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to collaborate and organize video shoots and campaigns with other members of the Marketing team Sweetwater "Ideal" Team-Player WOWs The Customer•Deep passion and desire for creating amazing customer & colleague experiences Get Things Done•Great work ethic and moves with a sense of urgency Obsesses over the Details•committed to paying attention to the details Drives Continuous Improvement•Always focusing on effective and efficient work and way to get better Develops the Future•committed to pursuit of growing personally & professionally and has a focus on bringing your colleagues along with you on that journey We function best as a unified team, so relocation to our state-of-the-art campus in Fort Wayne, IN is required.
