Join the JKS Production Network. John Kind Studios is seeking dependable freelance camera-support professionals for approved productions throughout Eastern Massachusetts and other project locations when required.

We are accepting applications from:

First and Second Assistant Camera professionals Digital Media Technicians Data Wranglers Camera Utility professionals Assignments may involve camera preparation, builds, lens changes, slating, focus support, battery and media rotation, data handling, file verification, backups, camera reports, and other approved camera-department responsibilities. This role supports the camera department. It does not automatically assign the contractor as principal Camera Operator, Director of Photography, editor, producer, or creative director. This is a project-based independent-contractor opportunity. Joining the JKS Production Network does not guarantee assignments, hours, minimum income, or exclusivity. Each assignment is confirmed separately in writing.

Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications include: Camera-department or professional media-management experience Familiarity with professional camera, lens, media, and battery workflows Careful file-handling and verification practices Strong attention to detail Dependability, punctuality, and communication Ability to work safely and efficiently on production locations Ability to follow the established chain of command Reliable transportation when required by the assignment
