Communications Assistant Holy Family Catholic Church - 4.4 Davidsonville, MD Job Details Part-time $18 - $22 an hour 20 hours ago Benefits 403(b) Paid sick time Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Holy Family Catholic Church, located in Davidsonville, MD, seeks candidates for a Communications Assistant . The Communications Assistant will work closely with the Pastor and lay leadership to plan, design, manage, and implement parish communications, both internally with existing membership and externally with the wider community and prospective members. Duties include developing, maintaining, and orchestrating a comprehensive, integrated communications strategy for Holy Family Catholic Church; managing social media accounts and strategy; ensuring the parish website is kept up to date; planning and editing, and producing a weekly electronic newsletter and regular parish-wide emails; assembling print media, including weekly worship bulletins and serving as the hub for all communication efforts. This is a part-time position, working 15 hours per week. Essential Functions Maintain the parish website with continuous updates to keep the community informed and engaged. Prepare and publish various communications, such as Flocknotes publications, newsletters, weekly bulletin, etc. Produce and maintain a digital calendar to record and track all parish events and room reservations. Produce publications for ministry and evangelization purposes, such as new parishioner welcome packets, sacrament preparation materials, etc. Maintain and update various social media platforms, such as Facebook. Position Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Proficiency with social media platforms. Proficiency with Microsoft and Google software tools. Practicing Catholic in good standing with The Church. Experience with website design and/or graphic design is preferred. Knowledge of the Catholic Church structure and traditions is preferred.
