Job Description
Job Summary:
The social media and Content Creator Intern is responsible for creating, publishing, and managing engaging content across the company's social media platforms. This Position helps showcase our transportation and warehouse operations, company culture, employees, equipment, community involvement and industry expertise through photography, videography and storytelling. Typical hours are 10-15 per week with opportunities for additional project-based work.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Capture photos and videos throughout company operations, facilities, events and activities.
- Create short-form video content for social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Develop content highlighting employees, drivers, warehouse operations, safety initiatives, equipment and company culture.
- Write engaging social media captions and post content consistent with company branding.
- Schedule and publish content across company social media channels.
- Monitor social media engagement and provide feedback on content performance.
- Assist with maintaining a content calendar and planning upcoming social media campaigns.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and capture meaningful stories throughout the organization.
- Follow company social media guidelines, branding standards and confidentiality requirements.
- Assist with recruiting, marketing, community outreach and special projects as assigned.
- Create and publish periodic sales and brand focused content that promotes company services, customer solutions and industry expertise to enhance brand image and support business development efforts.
- Support the company's digital presence by performing light website maintenance, updating content, publishing announcements and monitoring website visitor activity and engagement.
- Support additional marketing initiatives and projects that may provide opportunities for expanded experience and additional hours.
- Other duties as requested.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience using social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube.
- Creative thinking with attention to detail.
- Comfortable interacting with employees and gathering content in operational environments.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Basic photography and videography skills.
- Experience with Canva, Cap Cut or similar content creation tools is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Education and Experience:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Public Relations or related field.
- Previous experience managing social media accounts, creating content, photography, videography or related projects is preferred but not required.
