Job Description
Internship Goal Develop practical sports marketing and social media management skills through hands-on experience supporting Carolina Ascent FC, the USL W League, and mascot brand channels while contributing to content creation and analytics. Learning Objectives By the end of the internship, the intern will be able to: 1. Create engaging social media content that aligns with brand guidelines. 2. Plan and manage content calendars and marketing campaigns. 3. Analyze social media performance metrics and provide actionable insights. 4. Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and confidentiality within a sports organization. Learning Areas & Activities 1. Social Media Content Creation Learning Objective Develop skills in creating engaging content tailored to multiple audiences and platforms. Activities
- Assist in drafting captions and copy for social media posts.
- Create content for: o Carolina Ascent FC o USL W League o Sassy Mascot channels
- Learn club branding and social media voice.
- Support photo and video selection for posts.
- Create stories, reels, and short-form content. Expected Outcomes
- Produce platform-appropriate content.
- Apply brand standards consistently. Success Measures
- Complete a minimum of 3-5 content pieces per week.
- Demonstrate improvement in content quality and creativity. 2. Content Planning & Campaign Development Learning Objective Learn strategic content planning and campaign development. Activities
- Participate in brainstorming sessions.
- Assist with maintaining content calendars.
- Research seasonal and trending content opportunities.
