This role is ideal for someone with experience in marketing, communications, digital media, or the veterinary field who wants hands-on experience creating content, supporting brand growth, and helping connect pet owners with high-quality veterinary care. The Public Relations Assistant will support community outreach, and help maintain a consistent and engaging in person presence in the community along with assisting with digital marketing initiative. This position offers an opportunity to build real-world experience in content creation, brand marketing, and healthcare-related communications. Responsibilities . Attend community outreach efforts, local partnerships, and event promotion when needed. Capture photos and videos in hospital events and community for use in social media, marketing campaigns, and internal communications. Support development of monthly content calendars and campaign ideas. Developing promotional items along basic graphic design projects using platforms such as Canva or similar tools. Help promote hospital services, seasonal campaigns, team highlights, community events, and educational content. Support marketing projects across multiple animal hospitals, if applicable. Assist with email marketing, website updates, blog content, or digital newsletters as needed. Track performance metrics such as reach, engagement, and follower growth, and help prepare simple reports. Help ensure branding and messaging remain consistent across marketing channels. Qualifications Current college student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Interest in social media marketing, content creation, and brand development. Comfortable creating short-form content for digital platforms. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle multiple projects. Genuine interest in animals, veterinary medicine, or healthcare marketing preferred. Preferred Qualifications Experience using Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design/video tools. Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and social media scheduling tools. Experience with photography, videography, or editing content for social media. Basic understanding of analytics and social media performance metrics. Previous internship, campus organization, freelance, or volunteer marketing experience preferred but not required.
