Job Description
Create and schedule social media content aligned with advocacy campaigns and community engagement efforts Support planning and promotion of events through email, social media, and communications toolkits Capture and produce real-time content at events (photo, video, short-form storytelling) Assist in maintaining and executing the social media content calendar Develop graphics and visual assets using PowerPoint, Canva, Adobe, Capcut, or similar tools Support email marketing and digital communications efforts Track and report on social and digital performance metrics Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to support campaign execution Must be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college or university as a rising undergraduate junior or senior, graduate student, or postdoctoral student, and remain academically enrolled throughout the internship Pursuing a degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience with social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) Familiarity with Canva, Adobe, or similar design tools Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines Ability to work well with diverse populations, including age, gender, race, and sexual orientation Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office programs; familiarity with analytics tools is a plus Regular and reliable job attendance Exhibit respect and understanding of others to maintain professional relationships Independent judgement in evaluation options to make sound decisions In office/open office environment with the ability to work effectively surrounded by moderate noise Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
