The Social Media & Brand Communications Intern will help tell the story of The Village while building an authentic online community. This individual will transform everyday moments, educational insights, and behind-the-scenes work into engaging content that communicates our mission and attracts families, donors, volunteers, and partners. Responsibilities Content Creation Photograph and video daily activities (when children are present, following privacy policies) Design graphics using Canva Create Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn posts Develop short-form video content (Reels/TikTok) Maintain consistent branding Content Planning Build monthly content calendars Schedule social media posts Coordinate campaigns for events and enrollment Research current trends while maintaining brand integrity Marketing Support Assist with email newsletters Update website content Create flyers and promotional materials Support community outreach campaigns Community Engagement Monitor comments and messages Respond professionally (as approved) Highlight community partnerships Share family success stories Analytics Track engagement Prepare monthly analytics reports Recommend improvements Preferred Qualifications Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, Education, or related field Experience with Canva Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn Photography/video editing experience Strong writing skills Learning Opportunities The intern will gain experience in: Brand development Early childhood marketing Educational storytelling Content strategy Community engagement Marketing analytics
