Position Summary Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Alabama (BGCCA) is looking for a Social Media & Marketing Intern to own our day-to-day social media presence and help tell the story of our Clubs to donors and the community. You'll plan and post content across our social channels, and produce our donor communications. This role is a great fit for someone who loves social media, enjoys writing and design, and wants real-world marketing experience at a mission-driven organization. Key Responsibilities Social Media Plan, create, and post content across BGCCA's social channels (Facebook, Instagram, and others as adopted), guided by a content calendar and priorities from RD/Programming. Collect photos and video from Club sites and staff, and maintain an organized content library. Monitor comments and messages, respond where appropriate, and flag anything that needs a staff response. Track basic engagement metrics, provide feedback and content performance reporting. Donor Communications Gather stories, updates, and photos from Club and Programming staff to produce the organization's quarterly newsletter. Write, format, and proof the newsletter in Canva using the established template. Build and send monthly donor emails and other digital communications, as needed. Keep the newsletter and donor communications schedule on track, including preparing final files for handoff to the print vendor. Follow BGCCA and BGCA national branding standards on all materials. Take on additional marketing support tasks as assigned. Requirements Position is primarily in-office, with the opportunity for some remote work. Must provide own transportation to BGCCA. Must be proficient in Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Bonus Points If You… These aren't requirements, but we'd love to hear about them if you: Have experience with email marketing platforms such as Constant Contact. Are already experimenting with AI tools such as Copilot, Claude, or similar platforms. Have video editing and graphic design experience/Canva experience Schedule & Location Currently hiring for both Fall 2026 and Spring 2027. Depending on the requirements of the intern's school, this internship may qualify for academic credit. School year internships are hybrid with flexible schedules to accommodate the intern's class schedule.

Pay:

$14.06 - $14.81 per hour Expected hours: No more than 25.0 per week
