Marketing Coordinator and Store Teams The Kako Claw Difference At Kako Claw (pronounced Kah-koh, rhymes with taco), we've reimagined the claw machine experience. We aren't a dimly lit, outdated arcade — we're a premium, interactive retail concept built around fun, fairness, creativity, and human connection. Our stores are naturally visual, interactive, and filled with moments people want to share. We're looking for a Social Media Specialist who can turn that energy into engaging corporate content and help build a recognizable Kako Claw presence online. The Role at a Glance The Social Media Specialist will take day-to-day ownership of Kako Claw's corporate Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn presence, creating content that feels authentic to the brand while supporting our broader marketing priorities. This role is not intended to replace the creativity already happening at individual stores. When a local Kako Claw team is actively and successfully operating its own TikTok or other approved local content channel, we want them to continue doing so. Instead, this role will build and manage the company-level social presence, collaborate with strong local creators, capture content from our stores, and help amplify the best things happening throughout the Kako Claw universe.
What You'll Do Own Corporate Social Channels:
Manage the day-to-day content and presence of Kako Claw's corporate Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn accounts.
Create & Publish Content:
Develop short-form video, photography, captions, stories, posts, YouTube Shorts, and other platform-appropriate content that reflects the Kako Claw experience.
Capture Real Store Content:
Regularly visit Kako Claw locations throughout the DMV to capture authentic photos and videos featuring stores, machines, prizes, associates, events, and customer experiences. Build a
Content Calendar:
Maintain a consistent publishing rhythm and coordinate upcoming content with the broader corporate marketing calendar.
Support Campaigns:
Translate promotions, events, partnerships, merchandise launches, store openings, and other marketing initiatives into engaging social content.
Engage Our Community:
Respond to comments and messages, participate in relevant conversations, identify engagement opportunities, and strengthen relationships with our online audience.
Collaborate With Store Teams:
Identify strong local content, amplify successful ideas, and support stores that are actively creating their own content without unnecessarily taking over their local voice.
Spot Trends Without Chasing Everything:
Stay aware of platform trends, sounds, formats, memes, and online culture while using good judgment about what actually fits Kako Claw's brand.
Track Performance:
Monitor engagement, reach, audience growth, content performance, and other relevant metrics to understand what resonates and improve future content. Protect the
Brand:
Follow Kako Claw's social media guidelines and help ensure corporate content consistently reflects our values, voice, and customer experience.
Experiment:
Test new content concepts, formats, recurring series, collaborations, and other ideas that can grow Kako Claw's audience and strengthen the brand. What We're Looking For Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and current short-form content formats. Ability to shoot engaging photo and video content using a phone or similar equipment. Basic video-editing skills using tools such as CapCut, Adobe tools, Canva, or similar platforms. Strong writing instincts and an understanding of how tone, format, and audience differ across social platforms. Creative, observant, proactive, and comfortable experimenting with new ideas. Able to work independently while collaborating closely with store teams, the Marketing Coordinator, and leadership. Comfortable appearing on camera when appropriate is a plus, but not required. Must live within reasonable driving distance of Kako Claw's DMV locations and have reliable transportation for regular store visits. Interest in anime, gaming, collectibles, plushies, pop culture, or experiential retail is a plus. Existing Kako Claw associates or leaders with demonstrated content skills are encouraged to apply. What Success Looks Like Success means Kako Claw develops a recognizable, engaging corporate social presence without losing the authentic
