Job Description
Support Center - Irving The Social Media Community / Influencer Specialist will execute social media strategies and be responsible for the ongoing management and growth of Michaels' social media presence and influencer marketing program. The individual is an accomplished communications professional who is deadline-oriented with a strong understanding of social media platforms, best practices, and proven related experience. This Team Member will work closely with Category Management, Media, Vendors, Digital/Social, and Store Operations teams to ensure timely program success. Major Activities Manage Influencer Marketing Content Campaigns, including relationship building, outreach, and partner management Assist with building the strategy, scaling, and executing Brand Ambassador programs across key categories Prepare and disseminate campaign briefs for social media content and campaigns Track, measure, and report on Social Influencer Campaigns as well as Brand Ambassador KPIs and benchmarks, including interpreting data and providing recommendations Stay up-to-date on social media trends and creative content formats, and identify rising topics of interest in the craft and art space. Oversee Social Moderation for TikTok, including responding to DM, viral comments and overseeing Social Moderation agency Other duties as assigned Minimum Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Minimum Education Bachelor's degree Journalism, Communication, Marketing, or related field Minimum Special Certifications or technical skills Expert in social platform mechanics and best practices Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Minimum Type of experience the job requires 2-3 years of marketing experience or a related field Other Ability to organize and execute multiple projects Willingness to work under pressure and meet deadlines Excellent written & oral communication skills, with an ability to determine appropriate content & style for a diverse group Need to be highly organized, detail-driven, and data-driven Preferred Type of experience the job requires Retail marketing background Applicants in the U.S. must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements of the job.
