•Please provide a resume. Relevant work samples are requested as described below. Position Overview We are seeking two Social Media Specialists to support DEA's official social channels. You will create accurate, engaging content, coordinate approvals, support events, and use performance data to improve public information and drug-prevention communications. Key Responsibilities Plan and produce platform-specific content for X, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other approved channels. Maintain editorial calendars and approval workflows using tools such as Sprout Social or Hootsuite. Create and edit graphics, short videos, GIFs, and captions using Adobe Creative Cloud and related tools. Support live-event coverage and coordination with headquarters and field-office public affairs staff. Analyze results, recommend improvements, train other users, and keep accurate task-level time records. Support authorized paid campaigns and recruiting content; follow accessibility, records, privacy, and agency publishing policies. Required Qualifications At least two years of experience developing, deploying, and evaluating social media content, including collaboration with other specialists. Experience with scheduling/approval tools, campaign coordination, accessible content, and paid social media targeting. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud applications; strong writing, editing, research, and visual communication skills. Experience integrating platforms, increasing organizational reach, supporting LinkedIn recruiting content, and working within regulated federal social media environments. Current Secret clearance or ability to obtain one, as specified in the solicitation. Preferred Qualifications Degree in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, social media, or a similar field; federal drug-law-enforcement familiarity, journalistic writing, SEO, and influencer experience. What Success Looks Like Approved content reaches the right audiences on schedule. Event coverage is coordinated, accurate, and accessible. Reporting leads to practical improvements in reach, engagement, and campaign outcomes. Work Environment This position works primarily onsite at DEA Headquarters in Northern Virginia. Telework may be available under a government-approved plan. DEA will provide the equipment and software needed for contract performance. The final duty station will be confirmed during recruiting.
