Position Summary Join Heart of the Nation as a part-time Digital Media Specialist, where your creativity and technical expertise will help bring the Catholic Mass and other meaningful ministry programming to viewers across the country. In this hands-on role, you will record, edit, caption, prepare, and distribute video content that uplifts and serves the elderly, homebound, and those in need. This position involves operating professional video equipment, using editing software, preparing broadcast-ready files, and distributing video content to television stations and online platforms. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, organized, attentive to detail, and able to meet recurring broadcast deadlines. Primary Responsibilities Set up and operate cameras, lighting, audio equipment, teleprompters, and other production equipment. Record televised Masses, promotional videos, and Fund Drive spots. Edit and synchronize multi-camera video and audio using Adobe Premiere Pro. Adjust audio, color, lighting, graphics, music, and other production elements. Prepare programs according to broadcast requirements for file format, resolution, length, audio, captions, and file naming. Coordinate and review closed-caption and transcript files. Perform final quality-control reviews before distribution. Upload programming through FTP, FileZilla, MediaShuttle, Dropbox, Google Drive, station portals, and other designated platforms. Upload approved programming and captions to YouTube, JW Player, and other online platforms. Maintain accurate production records, upload checklists, digital files, and archives. Maintain current production procedures, station requirements, and contingency plans. Promptly communicate issues that could affect production or broadcast deadlines.

Qualifications Required:

Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro Strong organizational, quality-control, troubleshooting, and time-management skills Strong aptitude for learning media technology Helpful to have: Experience with MovieCaptioner, CaptionMaker, or similar captioning software. Experience preparing and distributing programming to television stations and online platforms. Familiarity with Catholic liturgy, Catholic Mass production, or faith-based television programming.
