JOB TITLE
Digital Engagement Intern
JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the Digital Engagement Specialist, the Digital Engagement Intern will be key to helping us connect with our alumni. This role will focus on content creation, social media management, social community engagement, and other digital engagement activities that connect our alumni with each other and back to the University of Wyoming.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Creation & Visual Storytelling Assist in producing high-energy reels, graphics, and posts for UWAA social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.). Capture high-quality photography and video at UW events and across campus to build our visual library. Brainstorm creative concepts for upcoming alumni initiatives. Social Media & Community Management Manage social platforms on a consistent basis, including scheduling, caption writing, and platform-specific optimization. Drive community engagement by interacting with non-followers and followers and executing pre- and post-event "hype" content. Monitor trends to ensure UWAA stays relevant in an ever-changing digital landscape. Strategy & Analytics Analyze performance metrics (likes, shares, clicks, etc.) to help the team understand what resonates with our audience. Support the Digital Engagement Specialist in translating data into actionable marketing insights and data-driven decisions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Currently enrolled student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or related field.
Portfolio/Experience:
Previous experience managing professional social media accounts or a portfolio of creative work (class projects or personal brand) Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the Driving for University Business
SAP . DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or mobile video editing apps (CapCut, etc.).

This position provides vital support to campus customers, and the successful candidate must be available to work and perform essential job functions on campus, understanding our location is at 7,220 feet above sea level.
