Job Description

  • Job Title:
    Master Electrician
  • Job Description
  • The Master Electrician oversees a crew of electricians on high-voltage electrical construction projects, with a focus on installing and maintaining power systems in an industrial environment. This role ensures that all electrical work meets safety, quality, and code requirements while supporting the successful delivery of complex power installations.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Lead and supervise a crew of electricians on electrical construction projects at an active hospital facility.
+ Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of high-voltage power systems and related equipment. + Plan and coordinate electrical construction activities to meet project schedules and quality standards. + Perform and direct electrical testing to verify system performance, safety, and compliance with applicable codes and regulations. + Ensure all electrical installations adhere to industry standards, local and national electrical codes, and site-specific requirements. + Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues in industrial and high-voltage environments. + Collaborate with project teams, site personnel, and other trades to coordinate work and minimize disruption to facility operations. + Monitor worksite safety practices, enforce safety procedures, and promote a culture of safe work habits. + Review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to guide installation and testing activities. + Train, mentor, and support electricians and apprentices to develop their technical skills and ensure high-quality workmanship.
  • Essential Skills
  • + Active Master Electrician License.
+ Proven experience working with high-voltage electrical systems. + Strong background in electrical construction, particularly in power system installation. + Hands-on experience with electrical installation in industrial or similar environments. + Ability to perform and oversee electrical testing of power systems and components. + Demonstrated leadership skills in supervising and coordinating a crew of electricians. + Thorough knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety practices. + Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications. + Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex electrical systems. + Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and other site personnel.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + Experience working on electrical projects within healthcare or hospital facilities.

  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $115000.
00 - $130000.00/yr. Generous benefits for our full-time employees. This position is eligible for company-paid medical insurance, life insurance, accidental death & dismemberment, long-term disability, 401(K) retirement plan, and our employee assistance program (EAP). Hensel Phelps also believes in the importance of taking time to recharge. As a result, employees are eligible for paid time off beginning upon hire.
