A LITTLE ABOUT US
Since 1985, Kinsley Steel has been delivering unmatched quality steel on time and on budget. Our certified and highly-skilled teams specialize in structural steel design, engineering, detailing, fabrication, erection and retrofit to existing structural members. The Material Handler is responsible for painting and preparing structural steel and assisting with loading and unloading steel from trucks as required.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate forklift as needed. Perform rigging work to move materials as requires. Load and unload steel from trucks. Prep and paint structural steel. Perform other duties as required to support the fabrication shop.
REQUIREMENTS
Must have 2-3 years experience with using overhead cranes. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by functioning and communicating in an effective manner with co-workers, clients, and supervisors. Works in compliance with Kinsley's safety policies and procedures. Must be able to work overtime and Saturdays as needed. Basic math skills are required. Must be able to tolerate hot and cold working environment. Must be able to stand on feet for up to 10 hours. Must be organized and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Experience painting and using paint sprayers to apply paint is a plus.
