Material Handler

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Material Handler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse distribution and material handling, with experience operating various equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient movement of materials within the warehouse while maintaining safety standards and adhering to OSHA regulations. Duties Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load and unload materials safely. Perform order picking using Traveler Packets and ensure accurate fulfillment of materials needed. Handle heavy lifting and transport materials throughout the warehouse as needed. Maintain organization of inventory within the warehouse management system. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of orders and efficient workflow. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues. Follow all safety guidelines, including OSHA regulations, to maintain a safe working environment. Qualifications Previous warehouse experience is required; experience in a commercial millwork is a plus. Proficient in operating heavy equipment such as a forklift. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues. Familiarity with materials handling processes and keeping track of operations. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Knowledge of warehouse management systems is preferred. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
