Material Handler (Jeep Wrangler focused salvage yard)

Join our dynamic team at Baseline 4x4 Recyclers! We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and team-focused individual for a full-time position in our Shipping and Receiving department. The successful candidate will take on the responsibility of pulling, packing, and shipping automotive parts with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency. Our workplace maintains a drug and tobacco-free environment, and we are looking for individuals who can thrive in a fast-paced setting while making informed decisions about the proper disposition of automotive components. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in efficiently managing inventory and ensuring the smooth flow of operations within the salvage yard.

Your responsibilities will include:

Retrieve inventory for packing and counter sales. Safely use a forklift to assist with various aspects of your role. Skillfully pack freight and handle large automotive components with precision. Systematically separate cores and organize inventory for optimal resale. Execute proper disposal procedures for waste fluids and scrap metal. Transfer inventory to and from designated job stations with attention to accuracy. The ability to lift up to 110 lbs. Break down tires and meticulously categorize good wheels/tires from defective ones. Conduct repairs on pallets to maintain a functional and organized storage system. Occasionally capture images of inventory for resale purposes. Perform other tasks as required or assigned to support overall salvage yard operations. Your role demands a keen eye for detail, organizational skills, and the ability to contribute to a dynamic team environment. Your versatility will be essential in handling various tasks within the salvage yard to ensure its efficiency and success. Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.
