The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are packaged efficiently and meet quality standards. This position requires a strong understanding of food safety protocols and mechanical knowledge to operate packaging machinery effectively. Responsibilities Package finished products in accordance with company and USDA standards and specifications. Sanitate work areas and equipment to maintain a clean and safe environment. Follow OSHA regulations and company policies to ensure workplace safety. Assist in food processing tasks, including meat cutting and fabrication as needed. Monitor packaging processes to ensure compliance with HACCP guidelines. Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and quality. Conduct routine inspections of packaged products for quality assurance. Qualifications Previous experience in the meat packing industry is preferred, particularly in beef and pork production or processing environments. Mechanical knowledge is a plus, with the ability to troubleshoot packaging machinery. Familiarity with HACCP principles and OSHA regulations is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
