Meat WrapperJOB DESCRIPTION
As a primary contact for Safeway customers, the Meat Wrapper provides friendly, courteous, and helpful service. Wraps, weighs, and prices meat products cut by the meat cutter. Stocks meat cases with cut, ground and otherwise prepared fresh meat, prepackaged meats and other items. Rotates product and removes expired or poor quality product. Keeps department clean, orderly, and maintained in accordance with State and Federal regulations.JOB DUTIES
Safeway Meat Wrapper employees are generally responsible for completing the following job duties: 1. Provide customer service as currently defined by the employer within the scope of the position and within company policy. 2. Operate wrapping machine. 3. Obtain fresh, frozen, smoked and prepackaged meats from storage coolers and freezers and display in meat department display cases. 4. Use carts, wheeled racks, dollies and pallet jacks to move bulky stock. 5. Place precut or ground meat in plastic tray and wraps, weighs, and prices by hand or using automatic machine. 6. Periodically checks display and storage areas for product with expired dates and removes from area for processing. 7. Perform daily temp and tare checks. 8. May order product and supplies. 9. Other duties as assigned.JOB RELATED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Ability to follow company customer service procedures. Demonstrated prior customer service skills or related experience. 2. Ability to interact with customers and co-workers. 3.
