Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanic to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and automotive systems. Your expertise will ensure that equipment operates safely and efficiently, supporting our operations across various sectors including construction, agriculture, and transportation. Responsibilities Perform detailed diagnostics using schematics, electrical testing, and mechanical inspections to identify issues with heavy equipment, farm machinery, and automotive systems. Conduct repairs and maintenance on excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, trailers, and other industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance. Repair and replace transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, shocks & struts, brakes, air brakes, HVAC systems, and other critical components. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and fabrication techniques to execute repairs and custom modifications. Conduct alignment procedures and perform tire service to maintain safety standards across all machinery. Maintain detailed service records including inspection reports, repair logs, schematics updates, and maintenance schedules. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with dealership or industrial equipment preferred; strong background in automotive diagnostics essential. Extensive knowledge of heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery. Familiarity with Caterpillar machinery or similar brands is highly advantageous. Skilled in reading schematics and electrical diagrams for troubleshooting complex systems. Hands-on experience with diesel engine repair, hydraulic systems, transmissions, air brake systems, suspension components, HVAC units, and welding techniques. Ability to operate power tools safely while performing heavy lifting tasks as needed. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or team members.
