Job Description

Innovative Technologies Corporation (ITC) is seeking a Facilities / Construction Engineer to support the 432d Support Squadron Civil Engineer Flight at Creech Air Force Base, Nevada. This position provides professional mechanical engineering support for operations and maintenance (O&M), design review, construction, sustainment, and facility infrastructure projects supporting Air Force operations. Candidates with experience in mechanical engineering, facilities engineering, HVAC systems, construction management, or infrastructure projects are encouraged to apply The Mechanical Engineer will work closely with government engineers, project managers, contractors, and base stakeholders to ensure mechanical systems and infrastructure meet applicable codes, standards, and mission requirements. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering 3-8+ years of experience in HVAC / Facilities / Construction engineering design, project management, or facilities/infrastructure engineering Experience with mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and building utility systems Experience reviewing construction documents, plans, and contractor submittals Experience supporting construction, renovation, or facility sustainment projects Proficiency with engineering tools and standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office) Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Experience Experience supporting DoD or Air Force civil engineering or facilities projects Experience working in an operational military installation environment Familiarity with construction management processes, RFIs, change orders, and project tracking systems Experience developing cost estimates (e.g., RSMeans or similar tools) Experience with CAD/CADD or facility engineering software Clearance & Eligibility Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance Must be a U.S. citizen Ability to pass background checks and meet base access requirements Key Responsibilities Provide professional mechanical engineering support for facility operations, maintenance, repair, and upgrade projects Review contractor submittals, drawings, specifications, and calculations for compliance with DoD, Air Force, UFC, and applicable codes Support project planning, scope development, cost estimates (IGCE), schedules, and technical evaluations Conduct site visits, facility inspections, and field assessments to identify deficiencies in mechanical systems Evaluate and support design and construction of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and utility systems Assist in developing Statements of Work (SOW), Statements of Objectives (SOO), and design documentation Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with contract specifications, schedules, and quality standards Coordinate with civil, structural, and electrical engineers, architects, construction managers, and government personnel Identify issues and recommend corrective actions during design and construction phases Prepare technical reports, documentation, and project updates to support decision-making Participate in meetings, design reviews, and project coordination efforts with internal and external stakeholders About ITC Innovative Technologies Corporation (ITC) offers challenging but rewarding opportunities for those who want to provide a great experience for the customer and strive to reach their professional goals. Compensation & Benefits:
Salary:
$90,000 - $109,000 based on experience, plus medical/dental/vision benefits, 15 days PTO and 7 days sick time; other benefits available. This is a funded, immediately available position under ITC's 432nd Civil Engineering Flight Support program (posted 6 May 2025).
