Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-MS Job Type Contract Showcase your medical-surgical expertise in a dynamic inpatient care environment with this contract nursing opportunity. This role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care as part of a collaborative team, supporting a diverse range of adult patients in a fast-paced setting.
Schedule/Hours:
13-week contract assignment
Qualifications:
Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license for the state of Michigan Minimum two years of recent, hands-on experience in inpatient Medical-Surgical nursing Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical documentation skills Ability to adapt to rapidly changing patient conditions and unit needs Effective communication abilities with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive nursing care for adult medical-surgical patients, including assessment, planning, intervention, and ongoing evaluation Administer medications and execute treatments safely according to physician orders and established protocols Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans Educate patients and families about procedures, diagnosis, and ongoing care needs Document all care and observations accurately in the electronic health record Respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies or changes in patient condition Maintain compliance with policies, safety regulations, and infection control standards
