Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing essential support in clinical settings, assisting with patient care, and ensuring smooth operational workflows. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and experience working within hospital or clinic environments. The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient service while supporting physicians and healthcare professionals. Responsibilities Conduct patient intake processes, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms Measure and record vital signs accurately Assist with patient examinations and procedures in various specialties such as dermatology, internal medicine, or surgical units Support medication administration under supervision and prepare patients for procedures like X-ray or other diagnostic tests Maintain detailed documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Perform basic life support (BLS) when necessary and respond effectively to emergency situations in hospital or outpatient settings Assist with ICD coding and documentation for billing purposes Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment according to infection control protocols Support inpatient and outpatient care activities across diverse departments including Geriatrics, Medical-Surgical units, or OR settings Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care delivery Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding practices Proficiency with EHR systems for documentation and patient management Ability to perform clinical tasks including vital signs measurement, medication administration support, and patient intake procedures Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations including Geriatrics and Internal Medicine patients Familiarity with hospital medicine protocols, urgent care procedures, and outpatient clinic workflows Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings Knowledge of medical-surgical practices and experience supporting physicians during procedures in the OR or outpatient clinics is advantageous This position offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute significantly to patient health outcomes while advancing your clinical skills within a supportive healthcare environment.
