Medical Assistant (66554) 11304_CA_450 N Roxbury Dr Ste 500 - Beverly Hills , CA 90210 Apply Overview Salary Range $23.00 - $27.00 Hourly Position Type Full Time Category Clinical Staff Apply Description The Medical Assistant provides professional administrative care for patients following established standards and practices. Prepares patients charts before and after office visits, work with SART entry and follows up with patients for chart completion and billing. Organizes all patients' medical history, health maintenance, and chief complaints within electronic medical records Works with the RNs to assist with chart completion, scheduling and billing Checks patients in before procedures, ensuring all documentation is complete Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations. Relay messages from patients and front office staff to providers. Represent the office in a professional manner. Treat all customers, internal and external, in a courteous and cooperative manner. Participate in team activities and professional development activities. Attend required meetings. Compliance with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Medical Assistant Diploma required. At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience is required; OBGYN or Primary Care a plus. Current CPR and/or BLS certification preferred OR the ability to obtain the certification within 30 days of employment via Women's Care training. Working knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections, if applicable. Ability to perform dosage calculations and measurement conversions. Must possess the ability to interact and communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of internal personnel, providers, personnel of outside organizations, and patients and their family members, both written and verbally. Must possess good organizational skills, handle multiple tasks concurrently, and be able to work effectively with all levels of aforementioned groups. Ability to use a computer and enter data in electronic medical records application, preferably eCW. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
