Medical Assistant

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support to one of our primary care physicians. Your primary focus will be delivering exceptional patient service while ensuring smooth clinical operations. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with the intake process to ensure accurate documentation of medical histories and current concerns Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates with precision and professionalism Prepare examination rooms by sterilizing equipment, arranging supplies, and ensuring a clean environment for patient visits Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, including medication administration, immunizations and point of care testing. Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems efficiently by documenting patient encounters, updating medical histories, reason for visit coding diagnoses using ICD (International Classification of Diseases) codes, and ensuring data accuracy Handle administrative duties including appointment scheduling, patient education on treatment plans, and coordinating follow-up care Qualifications Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in settings such as hospitals, clinics, or urgent care centers; experience in family practice is highly valued Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, ICD coding, and medication administration protocols Familiarity with EHR systems and medical administrative support functions to streamline patient flow and documentation processes Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment Strong communication skills with a focus on delivering compassionate patient care across diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatric patients Join us in making a difference through compassionate care! Pay:

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
