Medical Assistant -Part Time- Pulmonary & Sleep Clinic Mercy paid time off United States, Missouri, Washington May 14, 2026 Find your calling at Mercy! Medical Assistants (MA) in the medical office setting supports providers by delivering direct and indirect patient care in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner. The MA may assist with clinical procedures, maintains accurate documentation, and provides administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations. The MA functions within their defined scope of practice (based on office type clinic/HOD), under supervision, and in alignment with Mercy's mission and standards of care.

Mercy Clinic - Washington, MO ???? 32 hours/week | Monday-Thursday Make a Difference in a Fast-Paced Specialty Clinic Mercy Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant (MA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Pulmonary & Sleep Clinic team. This is a dynamic, high-volume environment where you'll play a vital role in supporting both patients and providers-especially through nurse triage call line support and direct patient care. What You'll Do Support providers and patients across both clinical and administrative functions: Clinical Responsibilities Room patients and obtain vital signs Collect and update medical and medication histories Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures Perform basic diagnostic testing (EKGs, glucose checks, urine dips, etc.) Reinforce patient education provided by the care team Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms Administrative & Care Coordination Manage nurse triage call line (Monday-Thursday) Assist with scheduling, referrals, and follow-up care Complete prior authorizations and precertification's Handle front desk tasks (phones, check-in/out, documentation) Ensure accurate, timely documentation in the EHR Why You'll Love This Role High-impact role supporting a specialized patient population Collaborative, team-focused environment Opportunity to grow your clinical and administrative skillset Be part of Mercy's mission-driven, patient-centered care team
What We're Looking For Medical Assistant:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Certification:
Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Experience:
6 months of clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a primary care office.
Certified Medical Assistant:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Certification:
Must have active Medical Assistant certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA). Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
LPN:
Education:
Diploma in
Practical Nursing Licensure:
Active LPN licensure
Preferred Experience:
