Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) & Phlebotomist -
Functional Medicine Clinic Location:
Columbia Falls, MT Position Type:
Full-Time, Part-Time, or Contract About Us We are a growing private practice in Functional Medicine and Direct Primary Care, delivering personalized, root-cause care in a patient-centered setting. Role Overview Hands-on clinical CMA with strong phlebotomy skills. You will perform routine and specialty blood draws for in-house lab workups and support providers with direct patient care. Ideal candidates are skilled, compassionate, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a dynamic clinical environment. Key Responsibilities Phlebotomy and Lab Perform adult/pediatric venipuncture Prepare, label, and process specimens (centrifuge, storage, send-outs) Perform CLIA-waived tests; follow QC/QA, OSHA, and infection-control protocols Manage specialty/functional medicine lab kits; provide patient prep (fasting, timing) Maintain lab inventory, equipment, and documentation Clinical CMA Room patients; obtain vitals, history, and medication reconciliation Assist providers with exams and minor procedures; chaperone as needed Patient education, care coordination, and within-scope triage/support calls Accurate EMR documentation, orders, and task management Maintain clean, safe, stocked clinical areas; instrument cleaning/sterilization workflows Team/Operations Collaborate with front office as needed for smooth patient flow and scheduling Uphold HIPAA, clinic policies, and compassionate, timely communication Desired Qualifications Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA or equivalent) Phlebotomy certification (e.g., CPT) with documented venipuncture proficiency Current BLS/CPR 1+ year outpatient clinical experience with regular phlebotomy preferred Proficiency with EMR and basic office technology Skills and Attributes Excellent venipuncture technique Strong communication, empathy, and patient education skills Detail-oriented, reliable, and calm under pressure Team-focused with strong time management Compensation Competitive, commensurate with experience and credentials Higher range for dual CMA and Phlebotomy certification To Apply Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter explaining why you're a great fit for our team.Pay:
