Job Description

$500 sign on Bonus!!! We are looking for a reliable Medical Assistant/ LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) Assistant to work in the surgical OR room, PACU and/or Pre-Op within an Accredited Surgical Level Two Office for interventional pain procedures in our St. Petersburg and Clearwater locations. As a Surgical Assistant, you are directly involved in ensuring that we always deliver focused and empathetic patient care. As a true people person, you thrive in this environment as you greet patients warmly and triage them upon arrival. You prepare them for their procedures, by utilizing sterile prepping technique. You assist the provider in setting up sterile fields, maneuvering C-arm x-ray and creating procedure notes, while maintaining a calming presence for our patients. Schedule varies slightly based on patient schedule, Monday through Friday. You will work under the supervision of a re doctor. Surgical professionals must be first and foremost qualified and compassionate. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing diverse basic care to those who need it while remaining patient and calm. It is a demanding job but also very rewarding.

" Responsibilities Record a patient's medical history accurately Assist with surgical procedure etc. Position and prep the patient for surgical procedure Maneuver X-ray/ C-arm under the direct guidance of the physician Complete procedure documentation. Follow up on clinical orders Equipment sterilization Stocking and putting away medical supplies Equipment disinfection Communicate with patients to provide procedure education and release instructions Skills Proven experience as MA or similar role Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team Familiarity with Surgical Level Two Office, safety and sanitation standards and procedures Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices Excellent knowledge of medical terminology Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate and able to handle stress Preferred license and/or certification: CMA/ Florida State Licensed Practical Nursing License
BLS/ACLS
Preferred Experience:
Two plus years experience with sterile field in OR settings Two plus years of surgical assistant experience
