Medical Billing Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify medical billing and coding accuracy
• Ensure timely submission of medical claims to insurance companies
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or issues
• Maintain patient records and confidentiality
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary documentation for billing purposes
• Stay updated on industry changes and regulations related to medical billing and coding
• Provide support and assistance to patients regarding billing inquiries

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing or related field
• Proficiency in medical office software systems
• Knowledge of medical billing procedures, including ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding
• Familiarity with medical collection processes and insurance claim submission
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
