PEDIATRIC GASTROENTEROLOGY MEDICAL OFFICE

Duties:

• Contact patients and insurance companies to collect outstanding balances
• Review and analyze medical bills and claims for accuracy
• Utilize ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding to ensure proper billing and reimbursement
• Understand and apply DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) codes for accurate billing
• Negotiate payment plans with patients and insurance companies
• Update patient records with payment information and follow-up actions
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving billing issues

Qualifications:

• Bilingual
• Previous experience in medical billing or collections preferred
• Strong knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems
• Familiarity with DRG codes and their application in medical billing
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and meet collection targets
• Attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing medical bills and claims
