Superintendent

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Superintendent to lead and oversee the daily operations of our manufacturing or industrial facility. This pivotal role involves managing maintenance activities, supervising teams, and ensuring that all systems—mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and industrial—operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards. The Superintendent will drive continuous improvement initiatives, coordinate projects, and uphold high standards of facilities management to support optimal production performance. Responsibilities Lead and supervise maintenance teams to ensure timely execution of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks across all facility systems. Oversee the operation and troubleshooting of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage components. Manage facilities maintenance using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, assets, and maintenance history. Coordinate with project management teams on upgrades, installations, or new equipment integration while adhering to safety protocols. Monitor HVAC systems and mechanical equipment to maintain optimal environmental conditions within the facility. Conduct inspections of electrical panels, schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to identify issues proactively. Enforce safety standards related to electrical work, high voltage operations, and industrial maintenance practices. Develop maintenance schedules, allocate resources efficiently, and supervise contractors or external vendors when necessary. Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the facility's operations. Experience Proven management or supervisory experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in electrical systems—including high voltage and low voltage—HVAC systems, and industrial equipment. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Experience utilizing CMMS platforms for maintenance management and asset tracking. Demonstrated ability to lead projects from planning through execution while managing budgets and timelines effectively. Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting, team coordination, and safety documentation. Knowledge of facilities management best practices with a focus on safety compliance and operational efficiency.
