Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and professional Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires familiarity with various Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, medical billing and coding, and strong clerical skills to ensure smooth clinic operations. Bilingual abilities and prior clinic or medical office experience are highly valued to support diverse patient populations and streamline front desk functions. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and manage patient check-in and check-out processes using EMR systems such NextGen Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance verification, and handle billing procedures including medical collection processes. Schedule appointments accurately utilizing medical scheduling software; manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette. Maintain accurate medical records, review documentation for completeness, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with intake procedures, including collecting patient information and updating electronic health records (EHR). Support office management duties such as filing, documentation review, data entry (including 10 key typing), and maintaining organized patient files. Collaborate with healthcare providers on care plans and documentation review to facilitate effective patient care delivery. Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries professionally and efficiently managing front desk operations. Experience Prior experience in a medical office setting or clinic environment is preferred. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as NextGen and Practice Fusion Knowledge of insurance verification, and health information management is essential. Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and office management software. Excellent communication skills with a focus on phone etiquette; bilingual abilities are a plus. Experience handling multi-line phone systems, filing systems, and administrative support tasks within a healthcare setting will be advantageous.
