Job Description

At Idaho Urologic Institute, we believe every patient interaction matters. We are looking for a compassionate, organized, and dependable Medical Records Clerk who enjoys helping others and takes pride in keeping patient information accurate, secure, and accessible. This role is an important part of our patient care team. Behind every chart, record, and phone call is a patient counting on us for excellent care and professionalism. What You'll Do As our Medical Records Clerk, you will help ensure patient records are handled accurately and confidentially while supporting both patients and providers throughout the day.
Responsibilities include:
Responding to medical records requests and phone calls with professionalism and care Maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance Scanning, uploading, and organizing documents within the electronic health record (EHR) system Preparing charts and records for upcoming patient visits Retrieving medical records, lab reports, imaging, and provider documentation Processing STAT requests promptly and accurately Copying, faxing, filing, and mailing records as needed Helping maintain an organized and efficient medical records department Assisting with electronic records conversion and office process improvements Performing additional administrative duties as needed to support the team What We're Looking For We are seeking someone who is: Friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Comfortable working in a fast-paced medical office Able to manage multiple tasks while staying organized Professional and compassionate when communicating with patients and staff A team player who enjoys supporting others Qualifications 1-2 years of experience in a medical office preferred, especially medical records High school diploma or equivalent required Experience with EHR or practice management systems preferred Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications Strong communication and customer service skills Why Work With Us?
