Job Description

  • Our pay rate is competitive based on the Client's desire for the best overall value. Pay rate is determined based on skills required, years of experience, and specific Client requirements.
  • Certification:
  • Certification as a medical coder or training/courses in medical coding, billing, and understanding of medical terminology
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Experience with Client Medicaid coding and billing
  • Experience in healthcare, medical coding, medical billing, and customer service
  • Strong working knowledge of medical coding and billing processes
  • Working closely with healthcare providers to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with coding standards
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain organized and detail-oriented while managing multiple tasks
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and SFS software.
Job Duties:
Perform clerical duties utilizing specific knowledge of medical terminology and procedures:
  • Act as the liaison between the provider/biller, facility medical office, Bureau of Health Services, and Accounts Payable
  • Review and process patient charges by reviewing invoices/bills containing Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes
  • Ensure that the medical services provided regarding agreed upon fee schedules. Adjust fees on invoices when needed
  • Work closely with the Bureau of Health Services to review and verify documentation regarding billed medical services
  • Manage agreements with providers regarding agreed upon fee schedules
  • Check bills to confirm that the correct, agreed upon fee schedule was applied
  • Process incoming/outgoing correspondence related to vendor invoices and billing
  • Sort and deliver invoices/bills to designated personnel
  • Offers are contingent upon successful completion of background check requirements
  • No parking is provided at this location.
