Our unified P-12 district serves about 4,000 students and consists of the Amador County Unified School District and the Amador County Office of Education. Our schools and communities are nestled in the heart of the Gold Country in the Sierra Nevada Foothills, close to San Francisco, Sacramento, Yosemite and Lake Tahoe. We offer a variety of quality schools including two comprehensive high schools, one alternative high school, two junior high schools, and six elementary schools. Requirements / Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent, and one of the following to be No Child Left Behind (NCLB) compliant: AA or higher degree OR 2 years of college (evidence of 48 semester units) OR pass the Amador Schools NCLB exam. Please see attached job description. Testing consistent with the job description may be administered. CPR and First Aid are required. Comments and Other Information Internal applicants (CSEA 827 unit members) will receive first consideration for this position. DOJ Fingerprinting at District Office, pre-employment physical, and current clear TB test is required before selected candidate can start employment. The Governing Board of the Amador County Unified School District and the Amador County Office of Education prohibit unlawful discrimination against and/or harassment of district employees and job applicants on the basis of actual or perceived race, color, national origin, ancestry, religious creed, age, marital status, pregnancy, physical or mental disability, medical condition, veteran status, gender or sexual orientation, at any district site and/or activity. The Board also prohibits retaliation against any district employee or job applicant who complaints, testifies or in any way participates in the district's complaint procedures instituted pursuant to this policy.
