Your expertise will ensure residents receive safe medication administration, assistance with daily activities, and emotional support, fostering a comfortable and respectful environment. Duties Safely administer prescribed medications and monitor residents' responses in accordance with state and federal regulations. Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and toileting. Observe and document vital signs, medication effects, and overall health status using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner. Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or memory impairments through tailored approaches that promote safety and comfort. Support residents during tube feeding procedures, catheter care, and other medical tasks requiring physiology and anatomy knowledge. Maintain accurate medical documentation while adhering to HIPAA guidelines to ensure confidentiality of patient records. Collaborate with nursing staff to update medical records, track medication administration schedules, and report any changes in condition promptly. Engage in home & community care activities that promote independence and well-being for seniors and individuals with disabilities. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals or home care environments is highly preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology, vital signs measurement, and basic nursing skills such as catheter care or tube feeding is essential. Experience using EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for documentation and patient care management is advantageous. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical records management ensures compliance with privacy standards. Demonstrated caregiving skills for seniors or individuals with developmental disabilities enhances your ability to provide compassionate support. Previous roles involving hospice care or memory/dementia care contribute valuable insights into specialized patient needs. Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology supports safe medication administration and medical procedures.
