FullTime The University of New Hampshire Psychological and Counseling Services (PACS) invites applications for a mental health counselor II. We are seeking a clinician with a doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology with demonstrated clinical skills who is ready to serve the mental health needs of graduate and undergraduate students. We seek a clinician who has demonstrated competencies in brief treatment modalities and crisis management. Responsibilities include providing individual and group psychotherapy, crisis and case management, campus outreach/consultation, and supervision/training of doctoral interns. Previous work in college counseling is preferred. PACS works closely with Health & Wellness, Student Accessibility Services, and The SHARPP Center to provide coordinated services for students. Duties/Responsibilities (65%) Provide individual and group therapy. Provide intakes, walk-in and emergency appointments. Diagnose students using current nationally and internationally recognized diagnostic systems, utilizing appropriate empirically validated psychological instruments and/or techniques. As a function of diagnosis, develop and implement treatment plans based upon evidence-based practices in the field of mental health. Refer as indicated for psychiatric evaluation, specialized treatment, and/or long-term therapy as appropriate. Maintain files to document counseling contacts. Provide clinical services in accordance with current professional standards and adhere to all pertinent local, state, and federal laws governing the practice of counseling. (20%) Provide outreach programming services for the campus community. Conduct workshops and programs designed to address the needs and/or concerns of students, faculty and staff. Serve as consultant to faculty, staff and students on matters relating to the well-being of students, and to other programs. Serve as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team. (15 %) Provide training for doctoral level trainees. Perform other related duties, as assigned. RequirementsMinimum Acceptable Education & Experience:
Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology
Required Licenses & Certifications:
Doctoral degree and completion of APA approved internship.Other Requirements:
A successful incumbent will actively work toward completing 1,500 supervised clinical hours. The individual must obtain their NH psychologist license within 18 months of hire to ensure continued employment at the University of New Hampshire.Applicant Instructions:

$47,920.00 - $85,410.00 The pay range for this position is listed above. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
