Job Summary:

The goal of this position is to aid the operations manager in maintaining the highest quality inventory. It involves hands-on commodity receiving and shipping duties, as well as everyday maintenance and facility improvement tasks. This is a temporary position, offering 30-40 hours per week with flexible scheduling through November 15. Essential Functions Commodity Handling

• Assist in the receiving and shipping of commodities.
• Engage in frequent commodity sampling processes to ensure quality.
• Monitor grain quality throughout the drying process.
• Efficiently and courteously move customers through the facility. House Keeping
• Always keep the elevator clean and presentable.
• Includes pressure washing, sweeping, shoveling, etc. Safety
• Always operate equipment in a safe fashion.
• Work with management to become educated on workplace safety.
• Communicate closely with co-workers to ensure everyone is working in a safe manner. Other Functions
• Notify manager of any equipment malfunctions.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Working Conditions
• Perform job functions outdoors.
• Sit, stand, bend, stoop, reach, work on feet, and lift objects over 50 lbs. frequently.
• Work at heights.
• Work extended hours in peak seasons. Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers
