TINY LEAF MICROGREEN FARM

is a small scale, microgreen and edible flower farm located in Lauderhill, Fl. We provide microgreens to our local South Florida community ranging from Dade to Palm Beach County. We are small but hard working team that loves what we do and we are looking for a new addition!

• Job Summary
• We are seeking a dedicated Microgreen Farm Hand to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for plants but it's not essential to have microgreen farming experience. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a farm and contribute to various agricultural activities. I want to be transparent about the nature of the job. Growing microgreens may sound like gardening, but it's really a production and labor job. Most of the day involves standing, lifting trays, climbing ladders, seeding, harvesting, and lots of cleaning. It can be repetitive and physically demanding, we do not want to discourage anyone but also set clear expectations of the work required to fulfill this position.

• Responsibilities:

• Assist with general farm maintenance tasks such as cleaning trays, prepping microgreen trays, plant care etc.
• Operate and maintain equipment for farm operations
• Perform heavy lifting tasks as required; up to 50 lbs at times
• Engage in plant care and plant maintenance (as skill set developes)
• Weekly activities include planting & harvesting microgreens with the team
• Utilize power tools for farm maintenance and repairs; drills, pressure washers, fans, ladders etc.

• Experience:

• The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and experience:
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks; MUST be able to work with a pressure washer for tray cleaning (ability to bend and lift from the ground)
• Efficient and hard working, ability to follow directly easily
• Proficiency in maintaining farm equipment and facilities, following all GAP (good agriculture practices protocal)
• Familiarity with garden maintenance techniques and plant care
• Proficient in using power tools for various farm tasks This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic farm environment where you can contribute to the daily operations and care of microgreens and edible flowers.

• Must be 21 or older & have a valid drivers license / ability to commute to work
• Must be willing to take a food handling course; the farm is GAPS certified (paid for by the employer)
• Must live in the Broward County area
