Middle and High School Math and Science Teacher

Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Middle and High School Math and Science Teacher to inspire students in a vibrant educational environment. Duties Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans in math and science subjects including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, biology, chemistry, microbiology, genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, and physics. Utilize innovative teaching methods and learning technology to enhance student engagement and understanding of complex concepts. Design assessments aligned with curriculum standards to evaluate student progress effectively. Incorporate laboratory experiments, dissections, research projects, and scientific research activities to deepen experiential learning in science classes. Manage classroom behavior through effective classroom management strategies to create a positive learning environment. Provide individualized tutoring and academic advising to support diverse learning needs, including special education students. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and standardized testing preparation. Mentor students in extracurricular STEM activities such as science fairs or math competitions. Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate progress regularly with parents and guardians. Engage in ongoing professional development related to education administration, Montessori methods (if applicable), or other pedagogical approaches to continually improve teaching effectiveness. Experience Proven classroom experience teaching middle or high school students in math and science disciplines. Strong background in mathematics including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, discrete math, differential equations, and proofing techniques. Extensive knowledge of scientific fields such as biology (cell biology, genetics), chemistry (organic chemistry), microbiology (microbiology lab experience), biochemistry, molecular biology, and scientific research methodologies. Experience with curriculum development tailored for diverse learners and integrating educational technology tools. Demonstrated ability to manage classrooms effectively while fostering an inclusive environment conducive to learning. Prior experience working with standardized testing procedures and tutoring students for academic success. Familiarity with research laboratory practices or research laboratory experience is highly desirable. Knowledge of special education strategies or behavior management techniques is a plus. Experience working within private school settings or implementing Montessori or other specialized educational approaches is advantageous. Strong communication skills coupled with mentoring abilities to support student growth academically and personally.
