Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a real difference in education as a Speech-Language Pathologist working with students from elementary through high school levels on a contract basis. This role is perfect for professionals who are passionate about fostering communication skills and providing essential one-on-one support to learners with diverse needs. As an integral member of a supportive school community near High Point, NC, you'll collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and support staff to help each student reach their full potential. Key Qualifications:
Valid SLP license and current certification Previous school-based experience preferred (elementary, middle, or high school) Able to provide effective 1:1 and group therapy Strong understanding of speech/language development in children and adolescents Excellent collaboration and communication skills Comfortable with documentation and progress reportingResponsibilities:
Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs Deliver engaging therapy sessions, both one-on-one and in small groups Track student progress and maintain detailed records Consult with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary team members Participate in meetings and provide professional guidance on accommodations and modifications This contract position offers a rewarding environment where professional growth and the chance to make a visible impact on young lives are front and center.
