SUMMARY:
Provides support to all conferences and events programming, with an emphasis on fit future sports and athlete development programs. Support duties include customer service and event preparation, web design and content creation, marketing support, data analysis and providing input and feedback to department management for growth opportunities that will result in increased revenue.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
: This class specification lists the major duties and requirements of the job and is not all-inclusive. Incumbent(s) may be expected to perform job-related duties other than those contained in this document and may be required to have specific job-related knowledge and skills. Assists with the design and implementation of all Conferences & Events programming. Assists with recruiting, interviewing and hiring internal staff needed to support community education events. Assists with the design and implementation of all conferences, events, and fit future offerings. Works with the enrichment team on the Fit Future sections of the catalogs to support community education sports and athlete development programs. Assist with the monitoring, development and maintenance of the conferences and events web pages and social media. Analyzes data obtained from user and participant evaluations and registration forms and suggests future event improvements accordingly. Assists with development of marketing materials for events and activities. Works with program and scheduling managers to select event location, setup needs and the overall aesthetic needed for high quality event operation. Assists with all community education and performing arts offerings as needed through communication assistance as well as vendor, staff, and student support. Builds collaborative partnerships for events with HHS Athletics and Activities office, and supports a strong and healthy relationship with the athletic teams and programs. Promotes and supports the overall mission of the District by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with public and staff; acts in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in education, sports management or a closely related field. One (1) year of experience supporting or coordinating youth programs. OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Required Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
Continued employment is contingent upon all required licenses and certificates being maintained in active status without suspension or revocation. Driver's License.
Required Knowledge and Skills Required Knowledge:
District policies and procedures. Web-based registration systems, analysis of data, and computer software programs. ? Computer applications related to the work. Most current digital/online communications tools. Correct business English, including spelling, grammar and punctuation.
Required Skills:
Creatively planning and translating athletic and/or performing arts concepts into effective visual form. Analyzing and manipulating data in the areas of finance, quality control, and various reporting formats. Analyzing problems and developing effective solutions. Using initiative and independent judgment within established procedural guidelines. ? Operating a personal computer using standard and specialized software. ? Communicating effectively verbally and in writing. Contributing effectively to the accomplishment of team or work unit goals, objectives and activities. WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in an office setting, in the schools and outside during the summer months. Occasional travel required to locations throughout the District.
