JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing coordinating care and designated health-related services designed to maintain the resident's physical and emotional wellbeing. This position will assist in making appointments, transportation, answering the phones, and other delegated tasks by facility administrator/RN. This position also completes the caregiving staff scheduling needs per the staff schedule.
RESPONSIBLITIES, DUTIES
- Coordinating Care
- Answering phones, arranging transportation.
- Fill and cover shifts as needed, following mandating rotation or program being currently used
- Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse.
- Observe resident and report changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, loss of appetite, weight, etc.
- Medication ordering, reordering. DME equipment ordering.
- Lead resident activities as scheduled and assigned.
- Monitor and answer lifeline call system.
- Cooperates with the dining services and provides general assistance with resident's meals and clean up; may set tables, serve meals, clear tables and clean dining room after meals
- Assist with emergencies and with safety instruction for residents such as fire drill etc.
- Conducts work tasks safely and in compliance with the facility safety procedure
- Provides effective and courteous service to all residents, guests and coworkers
- Assist with Activities as needed
- Assist with obtaining needed Medivan/ transportation appointment for resident medical needs under the direction of RN and or Administrator
- Manages the care provider scheduling, adapts to changes in schedules, organizes staff time off, finds coverage for open shifts
- Assists with Staffing on-call
- Covers the floor as needed based on staffing needs and shortages
- Performs other related essential duties as required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence and documentation on each resident.
- Ability to effectively present information on one-to-one and small group situations to customers, residents and other employees of the organization.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Must understand and communicate using specialized medical terminology.
- Must be punctual with a good attendance record.
- Must be mature and emotionally stable using calm and kind tone of voice, remaining calm in difficult or unusual circumstances.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The work environment consists of the entire facility including residents' rooms. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to minimal.
- Inside work while assisting residents.

Pay:
From $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
